Not sure what to say, really. It's sometimes hard to give a real comment to something that is only half yours. Had you drawn the picture as well, I'd be more at liberty to say things which would be directed at you, but they wouldn't be in this case, so I can do is comment on the coloring...
I like that you did something different with the lighting arrangement. Alot of artists, in this situation, would have used darker color schemes and shadows to represent death and loss, but it seems you've portrayed it in a positive light (no pun intended). Since death is believed by many to be not an end, but a beginning, it makes sense that they're bathed in light, rather than a depressing darkness which would mean this is it and she doesn't exist anymore. The light, in other words, give a hope that it's not over.
